Paris Dreaming

After a very comfortable flight, broken into three seven hour lots - with champagne and delicious food - we arrived in Paris at 7:30 on 24th May and then spent 2 hours in a commuter's nightmare from the airport to our apartment.

All settled in, we set off to find food. Not really a success, but I did try a little French and think I was judged as either American or English with the Madam in the Patisserie not at all pleasant. Would have liked to know what comment she made to her co-worker, but then, it was lunchtime and she was busy!

Off went the photographer with his trusty Nikon while I took time to study my next French language attempt. Having a charming young and handsome chauffeur to practice on during the two hour trip this morning was not as reassuring as I had hoped. He was very patient but my pronunciation left him wondering what I was saying. Oh dear.

Bins out in the Marais

David returned after an hour of wandering across bridges and along the Seine. What? Only 45 photos taken! Some great shots of buildings and an interesting take on LOVE attached to a bridge.

Love locked up

The adventure begins.
